Taster Sessions

 Mindfulness is about being more aware of yourself, others and the world around you - in each moment. People who are more mindful have higher levels of emotional intelligence, improved relationships, and reduced levels of stress.  They discover a natural state of mind in which they are more focused and aware and this helps bring about effective changes in their day-to-day lives.

One of the most effective ways of learning about the potential benefits of mindfulness can be through one of our taster sessions. These can vary in length from a few hours through to a day’s workshop and are usually delivered in small groups and this gives you an idea of what to expect in our longer Mindfulness Stress Reduction Course and allows you to see if it’s for you or not!.

In a typical taster session you will be introduced to the idea of mindfulness and to some of the scientific research that supports our knowledge of its effectiveness. In our shorter taster you will be introduced to a few practical mindfulness practices and the longer day’s taster incorporates some mindful movement like yoga and Tai chi. Both give an experiential flavour of the approach we use and some we leave you with practices that can be incorporated into the course of your everyday life.
